# 100 micron ex vivo human-brain MRI hero film

`radiology-100micron-hero.mp4` and `radiology-100micron-hero-poster.jpg` are adaptations of an openly available 7 Tesla MRI dataset of an ex vivo human-brain specimen. This is an anatomical research visualization, not a patient examination, QuantumMed product output, medical finding, or generative reconstruction.

The dataset describes a brain specimen donated by a 58-year-old woman who had no history of neurological disease and died of non-neurological causes. It was fixed in formalin and imaged ex vivo for approximately 100 hours. This media must not be described as a clinical scan, a living patient's examination, or evidence of a QuantumMed deployment.

Dryad's canonical API record identifies the dataset license as [CC0 1.0](https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/). Attribution is not required by CC0, but QuantumMed retains it to preserve scientific provenance and avoid presenting third-party research media as its own acquisition.

## Hero adaptation

- Selected source interval: seconds 31 through 38 of the synthesized FLASH25 axial movie.
- The seven-second sequence is followed by its reverse to create a continuous 14-second loop.
- The foreground uses a 1400 × 1400 crop of the 1760 × 1760 source and is downscaled to 960 × 960 pixels. No anatomical upscaling or synthetic detail generation is used.
- A second copy fills the 1920 × 1080 frame, receives strong optical blur and a burgundy colour map, and acts as the background.
- Near-black source background is removed from the foreground with a colour key before compositing it on the right side.
- The adaptation adds no anatomy, segmentation, finding, label, identifier, logo, or clinical overlay.
- Output: 1920 × 1080, 15 fps, 14 seconds, silent H.264/yuv420p MP4 with faststart.
